Hi my name is Paula AKA Sista Society and teamed up with my other half Michael AKA Dr Dregs we are Dregs Of Society Vintage.

After Finding each other 10 years ago we both had hectic work schedules and found ourselves like ships in the night.  I ran Bars & Restaurants so a night owl while Michael was just coming to the end of his long tendered career in scaffolding and wanting to follow his love of vintage fashion.... so with my encouragement and patience and a pay off from his last job he opened Junkies Vintage Boutique and dressed the glitterati of Newcastle in fabulous creations from days gone by... way back then vintage was not so en trend as it is now so alas the shop did not flourish how we would have liked it to and a fantastic opportunity came up to run a hotel in The Lake District which we did for over 6 years with myself running the operations and Michael turning his hand to his cooking skills and rustling up good wholesome food for hearty walkers. All the while we were still collecting up vintage pieces as this is not a passion you can just switch off...working and collecting in the summer season then hitting the road and selling at vintage fairs far and wide in our trusty VW Camper Van Greg Lightning in the off season winter months.  It came to the point when we where bursting at the seams with stock of both fashions/homeware's and furniture that we decided to take the plunge and do the full time vintage career...but first things first and that was our name, with so many other vintage businesses popping up with the word junkie in it a new name was needed for a new beginning... so while having a brainstorm over a bottle of Gin with friends during a campervan meet up on the fells of the Lake District we came to the Dregs of the bottle and with a little word play decided that would be a perfect name as that is what we do.... find the dregs that society has left behind breath a little love into them bringing them up to date to fit in with todays modern life...some with alternative uses and some for the same use they were first made.  DREGS OF SOCIETY was born.

Now we spend our lives mainly on the road finding treasures anywhere we can...selling them from our bricks and mortar shop which resides at the coast of Whitley Bay 3 days of the week and vintage events up and down the country alongside our online store on ebay.  I am well and truly Sista Society as I love all things society related from how we live our lives and the impact it has on us and our surroundings through the ages and of course I love to socialise making me the No1 candidate to man the shop and chat to the customers about all things vintage.  On the other hand Dr Dregs has found his natural home and of course Doctors the fabulous mid century furniture pieces we find...sanding, re-upholstering and repairing them to sit loud and proud in your homes.  We like to be sympathetic to the era and keep pieces as true we can and use vintage fabrics to upholster...

We live and breath vintage with every aspect of our lives giving a nod to days gone by be it our clothes...homestyle and even our vehicles.
